9 month Community Herbalist Training
Herbs have been used for thousands of years, in thousands of cultures, to heal the body, mind, and spirit. In this land of many cultures, in this time of abundant information, we have so much herbal history to study and learn from. We will pull from the traditions of Europe, the medicines of China and India, and the teachings of the plants themselves to develop a foundation in herbal medicine.
Over the course of nine months, we will identify, grow, harvest, prepare and use herbs together. This course will provide you with the practical skills necessary to become a home herbalist while leading you more deeply into the rhythm of the natural world.
Beyond the class teachings, this class is about the experience of coming together in community, creating sacred circles, and practicing healthy and joyful living. Classes begin in September and run through July. Cost $1360. Limited work-study available. Space is limited. We will meet an average of three times a month.
